| Dear Friends, |
December
15, 2007 |
Greetings
and love to you. Wish you A Happy Christmas
and A Joyful New Year. We returned from
India on November 8th after spending three
months there. We are glad to inform you
that everything is going well. God has been
blessing us and our ministry. We are so
happy to share with you that all our needy
children, college students and elderly are
doing well. They send their love and much
gratitude to you. |
|
We
are ever grateful to you for your kind and
generous help. We thank you for all your
love and support to our ministry. |
|
We
share with sadness the sudden death of Geetha’s
brother, Raja on September 29 due to a massive
heart attack. He was only 49 and was a small
farmer. On November 20 Tom’s nephew,
Sreenu passed away with heart failure. He
was 38 and an engineer by profession. Both
were simple and faith-filled. It has been
very difficult times for us and for our
families. Please pray for us and for our
families. |
|
On
November 1, we had the blessing and opening
of several new buildings, namely, the assisted
care unit for the elderly, doctors’
and staff quarters, and two dormitories
at St. Xavier’s Home for the Aged.
You might enjoy the photos on our FCN website
in “news and events.” |
|
We
are happy to share with you that there will
be a 15 day educational tour to India led
by both of us at the end of January 2008.
We invite you join us. If you are interested
or anyone that you know is interested, please
call Tom at 847-903-9892 as soon as possible
or E-mail us at tomchitta@hotmail.com. Please
visit our website: www.fcnindia.org and
click on “sponsors’ visit to
India” to hear about other sponsors’
visits to India. During 2007, we were glad
to host twelve sponsors and friends. They
all had a wonderful visit. You, too, will
have an experience of a lifetime. |
|
We
think of you and pray for you. All those
whom we serve are praying for you. Please
continue to help us.
|
|
A
Merry Christmas to you. Thank you once again
and wish you the very best in 2008. |

Blessing
and opening of Danis Hall on February
26, 2007
|
We
are very grateful to David and Nancy Danis
and family for their generous donation.
It is because of their generosity and the
support of FCN we are able to build “Danis
Hall” which will accommodate more
than 100 students who come from the rural
villages. They stay with us during the school
year. We present to you a few photos of
this occasion. |

Casey and
Melanie Barber Memorial Chapel
|
| Dear Friends, |
January,
2007 |
We
write this letter to you with heavy heart.
Casey and Melanie have been very dear to
all of us. They both were only 40 years
and died in a fatal car accident on July
31st 2006. We will miss them for the rest
of our lives. We are recovering from the
shock and asking God to give us strength
and courage. We have been praying for all
the family and friends and especially for
Nick, Cullen and Albert their three children.
Though Casey and Melanie are not with us
physically yet their spirit is still vibrant
and alive. May God grant them Eternal Rest. |
|
Casey
and Melanie have been helping us in our
mission work in many ways. They have shared
with many of you about our ministry. Some
friends have expressed that they would like
to do something in memory of Casey and Melanie
through our Foundation. We thought and prayed
and decided that we would build a chapel
in Memory of Casey and Melanie at St. Xavier’s
home for the Aged in India. This home presently
has 50 elderly who stay with us. They are
provided with food, clothing and medical
care totally free of cost. |
|
On January 13th, 2007 we had “breaking
the ground ceremony” for
Casey and Melanie Memorial Chapel. We were
very happy that Patricia Howell, daughter
of Debbie and Carl Howell, close friends
of Casey and Melanie was present together
with her friends Lisa and Amy from California
and Vena Eastwood from England. |
|
It
is our hope to complete this chapel by the
end of 2008 and have blessing. So far we
have received about $15,000. Due to delay
in construction and the hike in the prices,
the cost has gone up. It will cost us about
$35,000. We are confident that this will
be a great tribute and a lasting memory
to our dear friends Casey and Melanie. |
|
We
invite you to participate in the construction
of this chapel. Please make your donation
to Foundation for Children in Need or FCN
and mention in the memo “Casey
and Melanie Memorial” and
mail it to: |
|
FCN,
1417 E. Miner Street
Arlington Heights, IL 60004 |
|
Please
kindly share this information with all the
family members and friends. Thanking you
and wishing you the Grace and Strength of
Christ. |
